Lachlan is an animator and Illustrator from Australia’s national capital, Canberra. Currently he resides in Sydney and works full-time at Flying Bark Studios on Disney/Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur as a Lead 2D animator.
Lachlan began his career in 2D animated television working at Planet 55 Studios on the ABC children’s TV series Prisoner Zero both as a Storyboard Artist, Clean-Up Animator and as a Director. He has also since worked on Nickelodeon’s Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and LEGO Monkie Kid as a 2D animator and Disney/Marvel’s What if? as a 2D FX animator.
Independently Lachlan has had his illustrations featured in Sydney’s RAW artist showcase and developed storyboards and animatics for Urthboy's The Arrow animated music video. Lachlan also worked as a storyboard artist and animator on the animated short film Toasted, which was featured at Canberra’s International Short Film Festival in 2017.
He has also worked for the independent game studio, Lillymo on their title: Super Perils of Baking as a character designer and Pixel Artist. As well as producing the animated launch trailer for that game. Lachlan also produced the announcement trailer for the PS5 release of Lillymo’s arcade shooter Habroxia, and the announcement trailer for Hydrarch’s debut game Gateworlds.
Lachlan created the Storyboards, character animation and 2D FX animation for those trailers alongside his partner, Mel Rouen, who was the Background Artist on those projects.
